RoadTripConfessional
Why Road Trip Confessional?
I've been a writer since about 2001. I used to blog, done freelance article writing, and I've written and published two Young Adult novels. I have many other novels started, but in the last few years life has obstructed my writing. After my latest life disruption, which was losing my business to COVID, I started traveling more. My sister bought an RV and we hit the road for weeks at a time, traveling through the west side of the U.S., chasing the sun. Early in 2022 I decided that chasing the sun wasn't good enough for me anymore. In a whirlwind maneuver, I searched, bought, and moved into a condo in Tucson by May.
Since my family and friends are still back in Washington, I will be traveling back and forth a few times a year, mostly by car. Now, I have my dog Rosie with me, so I don't simply drive as far as I can and stop for the night. She's an anxious rescue and can really only handle a car ride for up to about five hours, so we stop a few times along the way. I've stayed at a number of hotels, motels, inns, and will probably add some Airbnbs in the mix. This is where Road Trip Confessional comes in. I thought I would try to get back into writing by journaling about my travels. Here I will chat about my stays, adventures, restaurants, rest stops, cities as a whole, local wines, and whatever else I come across along the way.
I hope you enjoy the ride.
